Stretch your mind - Learn new skills any way you can by taking courses, joining a book club, trying a new sport, or designing a garden. In a recent study of more than 2,800 older people, those who started exercising their minds more were better at handling daily activities 5 years later than people who were less mentally active. Summer Pet Care Summer is often a time when people fertilise their lawns and work in their gardens. But beware: Plant food, fertiliser, and insecticides can be fatal if your pet ingests them. In addition, more than 700 plants can produce physiologically active or toxic substances in sufficient amounts to cause harmful effects in animals.
With people and dogs spending more time outside, dog bites are likely to increase in the summer months. Spaying or neutering your dog reduces the likelihood that he will bite and provides many other health benefits.
Pets and pools can equal disaster. Prevent free access to pools and always supervise a pet in a pool. Read more great tips here.

Welcome Where has the year gone? October 31st shrieks, “It’s just eight weeks to Christmas!” Are you having an event or party at home leading up to Christmas? Why not think about using our professional home and corporate functions staff to help prepare and serve food and beverages and clear away afterwards. It’s also a good time to organise a spring clean before the relatives and friends arrive for Christmas. Just a reminder to book your Angels early to avoid disappointment.
We are constantly seeking to register new Angels in all departments for child care, aged care, domestic housekeeping, and in-home nursing. Should you know of someone who would like the flexibility of working the hours they choose in the area they want, please encourage them to phone their local DIAL-AN-ANGEL office on 1300 721 111.
Until next time, travel safely
